Her name was Elena Donca, 32 years old, the woman who died yesterday evening around 7:40 pm in San Marino, after having climbed the Rocca del Titano near the second tower. The young woman is of Moldavian origin and her body was recovered in the morning by the fire brigade and the civil police of San Marino. Her husband also arrived on site from Faenza, where the woman lived.

According to the dynamics of the accident, which would have been confirmed by the first responders, the young woman was with three other friends and had finished climbing. The group had left the rock and was returning down, towards San Marino Paese, using one of the small and narrow paths that pass above the Via Sottomontana.

At a certain point, her friends heard a thud and only later realized that it was Elena. The woman fell into the void and when her friends reached her, who tried to revive her, she was already dead. The girl was climbing with a couple of friends, a man and a woman, who had long shared her passion for climbing. Distant, but still engaged in a climb, two other people, two doctors, a veterinarian and a surgeon, who when they realized what had happened rushed to the scene and performed cardiac massage on the thirty-two-year-old, but there was nothing they could do. This morning at dawn, a team of Saf firefighters from Rimini reached the body, which was then hoisted onto the helicopter of the Italian firefighters who left from Bologna.
