Aggravated voluntary homicide. This is the accusation that Pietro Ialongo , the man who killed his ex-girlfriend, Romina De Cesare , 36 years old, will have to answer in Frosinone after having strangled her and ended up with a few stab wounds .
Ialongo, who allegedly tried to take his own life after the femicide , is currently in custody and, questioned by the investigators, has admitted his responsibilities.
Investigators also found a notepad , where the man wrote various notes, including a sentence that corroborates the confession: "I didn't want to kill her, I love her."
"The investigations arose following the report of the current partner, who was suspicious of the fact that the woman was no longer giving news from the previous night - we read in the investigation papers - and the subsequent intervention of the Flying Squad in the home of the presence of the woman's body lying on the ground, killed by several stab wounds ".
In the meantime, the Sabaudia carabinieri "noticed the victim's ex-boyfriend with bruises and scratches wandering along the Pontine coast in a state of confusion. He arrived there in his car and was taken to the Goretti hospital in Latina for treatment".
The investigations revealed that between the two there were a series of disputes "heightened as a result of the woman's new relationship with another person".
"The reasons for the gesture are still being ascertained, probably attributable to jealousy reasons , although further investigations are underway regarding possible economic reasons. The man, not accepting the new attendance of his former partner, on returning from an evening out he would have first strangled and then repeatedly stabbed, abandoning her in a pool of blood, and then fled. During his run towards the Pontine coast, the man would have carried out self-harm gestures and suicide attempts, both by strangulation and by cutting the veins, failing to do so. Once he reached the Circeo promontory, heading towards the beach of Sabaudia, the man would finally try to drown himself ", concludes the note from the investigators.
