The doctor caught operating in a private residence in Rome in recent days, and already under investigation for the death of a patient in June during liposuction in an unauthorized clinic, is under house arrest . The precautionary measure, issued by the Rome investigating judge, was carried out by the NAS Carabinieri, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office.

The serious and weighty evidence gathered by the NAS allowed the precautionary measure to be issued for the crimes of domestic violence. The doctor, in recent days, despite having already been suspended from the medical profession as a result of another crime, had been caught with surgical equipment performing an otoplasty procedure in an apartment occupied by South Americans located in the Quadraro neighborhood of Rome.

The previous precautionary suspension order stemmed from other legal matters, in which he was investigated for performing an unauthorized procedure and for domestic violence. The same doctor was also under investigation, again by the Prosecutor's Office, for the death of a woman following complications from liposuction. But despite the serious crimes he was implicated in, the doctor continued to practice his profession and, in defiance of every prohibition and respect for even the most basic health and safety measures, did so in makeshift facilities.

As evidenced by the footage, the doctor, assisted by a retired nurse, wearing work gowns and carrying instruments, was caught performing otoplasty on a young South American woman lying on an open makeshift bed in a bedroom strewn with shoes, clothes, and various other debris. As confirmed by the emergency room staff at the Casilino Polyclinic, the doctor had already injected the young woman with local anesthetic.
