After the Catania Court of Appeal overturned his pre-trial detention order, the Florence Supervisory Court also decided to release rapper Niko Pandetta, granting the request of his defense attorney, Riccardo Floris, from Cagliari, and ordering his probation in a suitable facility. The singer is serving a four-year sentence for drug-related offenses and other minor crimes.
In recent days, the precautionary custody order ordered by the Catania investigating judge as part of an anti-mafia drug investigation against Vincenzo Pandetta, known as Niko, thirty-five years old and nephew of Catania mafia boss Salvatore "Turi" Cappello, was cancelled. Pandetta was recently among the fifteen individuals subject to a precautionary custody order issued by the Catania investigating judge.

Today's new defense victory allows Pandetta to serve his sentence on probation.
