A sixteen-year-old girl told doctors at the Palermo Polyclinic specialized in sexual crimes that she had been raped in Addaura , on the Palermo seafront .

The doctors immediately contacted the police to verify the victim's story .

It was the soldiers of the San Lorenzo company who tracked down the alleged rapist. It was the same girl who said she had met the young man when he was just over 18 in the South club on the Cristoforo Colombo seafront. The two would have gone out to the cliff area and the violence would have taken place here.

The military also ascertained that linked to this incident there was also a fight that occurred shortly afterwards between 20 young people . From the stories of those who participated in the dispute it emerged that the girl's friends and those of the alleged rapist would have fought .

Throughout the night, the military interrogated possible witnesses to try to reconstruct what happened.
