For 10 days not even a drop of rain in all of Europe , except for Scandinavia and the area on the border between Austria and Slovenia.
All the other countries will instead have to deal with a new wave of North African heat , the umpteenth of a scorching season that began on 10 May.

Italy will also initially be touched by this mass of air which will head first towards Spain, France and Germany, which will record temperatures even 16 degrees above the seasonal average .

Next week, however, even the Peninsula will be overwhelmed by the “infernal” heat.

"The North African comeback these days - explains Andrea Garbinato, editor of the ILMeteo.it website - will probably be one of the most intense in history at European level. The worst days will be Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 July with deviations from the average values climatic temperatures of + 16 ° C between France and Germany, and + 12 ° C also in England, Holland and Belgium ".

As for Italy , adds Garbinato, “already on Friday 15 July, 37-38 ° C will be reached again in the Po Valley. But in our country, it could be worse next week with even higher values and in extension to the central regions. In the South we will experience a hot phase, but not exceptional . In fact, Italy could be reached by temperatures about 14 degrees higher than in July: a quick calculation leads us to predict, compared to the average 28/29 ° C in the Po Valley, peaks of 42/43 ° C in the middle next week ".

"The most extreme weather map shows the freezing point at 5,200 meters - concludes the expert - in this case we will not have subzero temperatures in any area of our country, we expect record highs again up to 10 ° C also on Mont Blanc as happened a month ago, in mid-June ".

Hot heat also in Sardinia , where at the beginning of next week the thermometers could even reach , and in some cases exceed, 37 degrees.
