116 people were denounced by the Treviso Finance Police who ascertained their irregular position with regard to citizenship income. The checks were carried out in collaboration with INPS and the Veneto region and focused on examining the self-declarations submitted by those who requested and obtained the benefit.

Some unusual violations: 45 people lacked the residence requirement, others had bought a Maserati SUV, and there were also those who had won thousands of euros at the game.

Among the applicants, three Italians enrolled in Aire were identified who falsely attested to being resident in Italy, only to have citizenship income. Then there is the case of two unemployed: a 54-year-old from Treviso, who won 1.6 million euros, and a 48-year-old from Conegliano who collected 500,000 euros. On 17 occasions, however, the irregularity concerned the omission, in the single substitute declaration, of relevant income information. And, again, other citizens have hidden that they have started working, while others have had variations in the composition of their family, without however informing INPS.
