The Court of Appeal of Bologna accepted the request of the Attorney General to reopen the investigation in the trial of a 57-year-old, acquitted in the first instance of the accusation of having tried to kill his wife by pouring drugs into a fruit juice .

Furthermore, the man would not have helped his wife despite the state of unconsciousness. Indeed, when he called her mother to find out how she was doing, he reassured her. But the worried woman went to her daughter's house anyway and, once she became aware of her condition, she called for help. Then the transport to the hospital and hospitalization, which saved her life.

The facts date back to 2017.

In the first instance , the prosecutor had asked for nine years for the accused, but the judge handed down acquittal for lack of evidence .

Now, with the reopening of the investigation, the Prosecutor's Office will call to testify the alleged victim, the mother and the general practitioner who was treating the woman.
