The Coordination of 15 October met the Minister of Agriculture Stefano Patuanelli this morning. A meeting defined as "cordial", which lasted about an hour and ended shortly after 9.30, but which did not bring the parties closer even one millimeter.

Stefano Puzzer made some requests as a spokesperson: he asked for "the repeal of the Green pass and the obligation to vaccinate for the categories for which it is envisaged (currently only health professionals), the commitment to refrain from all forms of violence towards peaceful demonstrators ”and also formulated a request for“ formal apologies from the government to the city of Trieste and to all demonstrators for the events of October 18th ”.

The minister "thanked Puzzer for the decision to cancel the demonstrations scheduled for 22 and 23 October for security reasons (infiltrations by the black bloc were expected, ed) and undertook to report the requests for coordination to the government".

Requests that are however inadmissible, the undersecretary of health Andrea Costa cuts short: “The government cannot take into consideration the request to abolish the Green pass, as well as remove the vaccination obligation for the categories for which it is envisaged. I think it is clear that on our part there is the will to continue on this path, also because the data, fortunately, in our country show us how the path traced by the government to date has brought good results ".

The demonstrations, the Coordination announced on 15 October, "will continue peacefully both in Trieste and throughout Italy, until the government accepts the requests made".
