New wave of attacks by pro-Russian hackers Noname057(16) this morning on the websites of Italian ministries and institutions.
As usual, these are Ddos (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks that are causing some inconvenience and temporary interruption of service.
A team from the National Cybersecurity Agency is working to help the affected organizations restore functionality.
Among the attacked sites, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Infrastructure and Transport, Consob, Carabinieri, Navy, Air Force, as well as local public transport companies such as Atac of Rome, Amat of Palermo, Amt of Genoa.
In announcing their attack, the cybercriminals criticized Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Telegram.
"Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni - they wrote - confirmed continued full support for Ukraine in a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky during his visit to Rome. According to Meloni, Italy will help Ukraine defend its interests and pursue a just and lasting peace. The negotiations lasted about an hour and were aimed at strengthening Kiev's position." "Italy should start helping itself and, first of all, its cybersecurity," they added.
