Andrea Sempio, the new suspect for the murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco , He threw it in a bin at a recycling center far from his home on February 26th of last year, the day he was called to the Voghera Carabinieri station for a notification. This circumstance is contested against Sempio in a lengthy note from Pavia prosecutors during the May 6th interrogation, during which the suspect in the murder of Chiara Poggi exercised his right to remain silent.
As reported by "Il Corriere della Sera," "La Repubblica," and "La Stampa," during the three-hour presentation of the accusations, Sempio heard the contents of the long note read to him and was told that the Carabinieri, who were following him, "identified the garbage bag thrown away by the suspect, which became suspicious precisely because it was thrown away in a place far from his home. Recovering the garbage revealed inside it a sheet of squared paper handwritten on both sides. On one side were notes regarding how to approach women. On the other side, apart from some incomprehensible words, were notes that related to what happened on the day of Chiara Poggi's murder."
The block-lettered note contains words that need to be contextualized: "from kitchen to living room," "dog"; "knocks from..."; "doorbell"; "window from outside," and one, unmistakable one: "Murderer."
"Faced with Chiara's refusal to see him," the Pavia prosecutors wrote in the charges read to the suspect, "Sempio went directly to the victim's home, and she let him in, unconcerned about the fact that he was in pajamas or the potential risks. At this point, all the evidence gathered converges on a single trigger: the refusal of a sexual approach, which developed after watching intimate videos of the two lovers. From that unexpected refusal, a sudden explosive reaction arises, ignited when the victim pushes him away and attempts to escape, transforming the growing tension into a physical confrontation. It is in that sudden escalation that the attack becomes blind, disproportionate, a furious annihilation concentrated on the face and head, as if the intent were to erase every trace of the person who had resisted."
