Pescara: A 12-year-old girl drowns in the sea while swimming with friends.
When the other young people lost sight of her they alerted the rescue services, unfortunately to no avail.

A 12-year-old girl drowned in the sea this afternoon in Pescara . She was swimming with some friends who lost sight of her and raised the alarm.
The Fire Brigade arrived on the scene with a helicopter and ground vehicles, as well as the State Police, Guardia di Finanza, Local Police and 118 paramedics.
After a search that lasted over an hour, the girl was located and brought to shore for CPR, before being transferred by ambulance to the hospital, where, unfortunately, she arrived lifeless.
