Newborn baby dies after giving birth at home in the Brindisi area

Drama this morning in Cisternino, in the province of Brindisi.

A newborn baby girl died immediately after giving birth in a home.

The mother was urgently transferred to the Perrino hospital where she is now hospitalized in the obstetrics and gynecology department.

On site, medics immediately stabilized the woman due to postpartum haemorrhage, before being admitted to hospital.

Investigations are underway by the Brindisi Prosecutor's Office.
