New mother falls down the stairs and dies: she had her 24-day-old daughter in her arms

Tragedy in Bari.

A 34-year-old woman died in the night, around 3.30 am, after falling down the stairs while holding her 24-day-old daughter in her arms .

The little girl is currently hospitalized for observation in the neonatology department of the Policlinico di Bari and is in good condition.

The woman, after having slipped or following an illness , would have fallen from the spiral staircase inside the apartment, in the Palese district, violently beating her head. She died in an ambulance while being transported from home to the Polyclinic.
