A little girl from Striano was injured by a pellet fired from a compressed-air gun. The incident occurred while the little girl was walking in the street with her aunt.

The 11-year-old suddenly felt a strong pain in her abdomen and was taken by her aunt to the "Martiri del Villa Malta" hospital in Sarno (SA). Her conditions are not worrying: she was treated and immediately discharged with a prognosis of 10 days. The Carabinieri of Striano intervened on site and seized that object which, from initial investigations, appears to be a pellet for a compressed air rifle.

From the first investigations, it seems that unknown persons fired at least one shot from an air rifle in the area where the little girl was walking with her aunt. The area is covered by video surveillance systems that the carabinieri are acquiring to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident.
