The Genoa prosecutor's office has requested an 18-year and 6-month sentence for the former CEO of Autostrade per l'Italia, Giovanni Castellucci.

The request comes from two prosecutors, Walter Cotugno and Marco Airoldi, regarding the collapse of the Morandi Bridge, which occurred on August 14, 2018, causing 43 deaths.

This concludes the final part of the Genoa prosecutor's closing argument, which began in June . The former manager attended the hearing from Opera prison, where he has been held since his final six-year sentence for the Avellino massacre.
