"Sonia Bottacchiari has been located, along with her children. All three are in good health, enjoying adequate housing and living conditions in general." This was reported by Piacenza's Public Prosecutor, Grazia Pradella , referring to the family who disappeared from Piacenza on April 20 , and who had been missing in Friuli.

"We do not intend to make further details public, as the woman has expressed fears and concerns if her whereabouts were discovered, and has explicitly stated, should this happen, her intention to make herself untraceable again."

Investigations into the case, coordinated by the Piacenza Public Prosecutor's Office, will continue, currently for the crimes of consensual abduction of minors and wilful failure to execute a judicial order .

"These investigations will be aimed at clarifying all aspects of the matter, in a constant effort, it is important to emphasize, to safeguard the well-being of the two minors, with particular reference to their social and scholastic reintegration. It is important to emphasize that the two children, up until their removal, which is considered to be consenting, were continuing to attend school successfully and with continuity," emphasized Prosecutor Pradella.

"I would like to thank the Carabinieri of the Udine Provincial Command and the Piacenza Provincial Command for their commitment and professionalism during the investigation," Pradella concluded.
