«Melons? Without money you can't work. Bitch, you work."

Thus the governor of Campania Vincenzo De Luca commented with journalists in Montecitorio on the statements of the prime minister who invited him to work instead of holding demonstrations.

Reference to the protest of the Region and the mayors for the blocking of cohesion funds towards Campania . A protest arrived in Rome, with a delegation led by De Luca.

The governor stopped on the Transatlantic to chat with some journalists, describing the demonstration and complaining about not having been received by anyone in the ministries.

«We arrived in front of the Ministry of Cohesion, where there are some Stakhanovites: there was no one there. There wasn't the minister, there wasn't an undersecretary, there wasn't an official, who was playing tennis . They pushed us, then they said that a delegation could go up, but there was no one on top. Then I went towards Palazzo Chigi, but a police barrier blocked us. They said only the President could go, so I went. But there was no Mantovano at Palazzo Chigi, there was no one. This is how they treat the mayors of Campania. We had warned them that we would come for 12 days."

Then, speaking with reporters, the statements about the prime minister, in controversy with the latter's statements regarding the Cohesion Funds: «Everyone understood the meaning of what we are doing, there was enormous collaboration, everyone they are collaborative except for one who is not very collaborative at present . Respectfully, it doesn't even surprise me too much, if you look at the 2014-2020 planning cycle, 24% of the expenditure appears to have been spent. If instead of holding demonstrations we started working perhaps we could achieve some more results."
