A medical evacuation took place shortly before dawn from the Sea Watch 5 vessel, which, after rescuing two boats, had 94 migrants on board. The vessel was assigned the safe port of Marina di Carrara.

During the night, the Coast Guard patrol boat CP319 took on board nine of the migrants, five women and four minors, who were aboard the German NGO vessel. They are all Sudanese. After disembarking at the Madonnina pier in Lampedusa, one minor was taken to the outpatient clinic where he was hospitalized. His mother and sister were with him.

Another minor traveling with two family members was also hospitalized for hypothermia, while three others were taken to the Imbriacola hotspot, which currently houses 154 guests. Yesterday, 250 migrants were transferred from the facility.
