The leg of the 18-month-old girl who was hit by a riding lawnmower driven by her father was saved with emergency surgery—and not amputated, as initially reported. The accident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, April 25, in Loria, in the Treviso area.

The operation took place at the hospital in Padua, where the little girl had been rushed.

The little girl is now under observation in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and her condition is stable, although not yet sufficient to resolve the prognosis.
