The victim of the brutal attack is a disabled 16-year-old of Tunisian origins living in Galatina (Lecce). The bullies attacked him while he was in the waiting room with a group of friends. The violence of the group was perhaps triggered by one word too many, followed by a response that inflamed the group's tempers. The fact, which is being investigated by the police, dates back to Wednesday evening but was reported only yesterday by the victim's mother.

The scene was filmed with a cell phone and posted online , then removed shortly after . Rescued and taken to the hospital, the boy was given a 25-day prognosis. The police have already identified the members of the gang, made up of about ten minors, including young girls. Among them are very young people who in the past have already been responsible for acts of vandalism and raids. From what we know, the group is also responsible for another attack that took place last Saturday against a minor who was beaten and stripped.

The group is known for posting their pranks on social media and the various members also have themselves portrayed in aggressive poses, hooded and armed with knives and clubs. For the gang, the crime hypothesis is personal injury aggravated by being a minor and having acted with cruelty. The investigation is coordinated by the prosecutor of the Juvenile Court of Lecce, Simona Filoni, who could have further developments in the coming hours.
