The Italian Federation of University Sports commemorated Leonardo Coiana, the historic president of Cusi who passed away in Cagliari in 2014. The day, organized by FederCusi's number one, Antonio Dima, developed in two parts. The first, in the historic headquarters in via Brofferio, Prati district, with the naming of the meeting room on the third floor, which has always been used for federal councils, which took the name "Lilli Coiana Meeting Room". At the ceremony, with president Dima, deputy Gianni Ippolito, secretary Pompeo Leone, also Giovanni Malagò and Roberto Fabbricini, former general secretary of CONI. The plaque was discovered by Dr. Coiana's nephews, Leonardo and Francesco, sons of his eldest son Nicola . The latter - with Stefano Arrica, president of the Regional Golf Committee and already at the helm of Cus Cagliari - took part connected from Cagliari.

The second phase of the ceremony took place in the great hall of the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic preparation center at Acqua Acetosa. Born in '37, graduated in medicine with four specializations, Leonardo "Lilli" Coiana was among the founders of Cus Cagliari. Protagonist of sports medicine life, also as health manager of Cagliari football, he guided and gave solidity to Cusi in the wake and example of the pioneers Ignazio Lojacono and Primo Nebiolo.
