Terrible accident around 1pm at the A12 motorway toll booth in Rosignano , in the Livorno area.

At least three cars were involved: according to an initial reconstruction , a car crashed at high speed into two vehicles in the queue , overturning and seriously damaging the toll booth structure. The toll booth, inside which there was an employee (who remained incredibly unharmed), was lifted from the ground.

Three people died : the two occupants of the vehicle that hit the other vehicles, two Germans, and an Italian, among the occupants of the rear-ended cars. Six other people were injured, including two little brothers aged 3 and 6. Luckily, none of them risk their lives.

On site, in addition to the firefighters and the police, also several ambulances and a helicopter. The dynamics are yet to be fully clarified, it is hypothesized that it was caused by an illness on the part of the German driver of the car that crashed into the cars in the queue.
