Investigations underway in Rome after a deaf-mute man named Hasib Omerovic, 36, fell from the window of an apartment in a public housing building in Primavalle during a police search .

Omerovic is now hospitalized, in serious condition due to various fractures , and his family, of Roma origin, are asking for full light to be shed on what happened.

The prosecutor, as mentioned, has opened an investigation, while the deputy Riccardo Magi (+ Europe)   he presented a parliamentary question to the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese .

Police chief Lamberto Giannini , for his part, guaranteed "maximum transparency" on the investigations and " constant collaboration" with the judiciary.

THE RECONSTRUCTION - The fact dates back to last July 25th. According to what emerges from the statement presented by Omerovic's parents, the man - suffering from a disabling deafness - would have been beaten and then thrown from the window.

The story of what happened is based on the testimony of Hasib's younger sister, present in the apartment during the activity of plainclothes agents.

In the complaint, which led the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office to open a file for attempted murder at the moment against unknown persons, the version of the sister is provided.

THE SISTER'S TALE - According to the 36-year-old's younger sister, the agents asked the man for his documents and he, frightened, would shut himself up in a room. Here the situation, according to the young woman, would have taken a dramatic turn. The agents would in fact have forced the door. "They beat him with the stick, he fell and started kicking him - said his sister - he ran into his room and closed himself, they broke the door, they punched and kicked him and took him from the foot and they threw him down ”, making him fly about 8 meters.

THE OTHER VERSION - Also according to what is reported in the complaint, in the following days an agent of the police station would informally inform the family that Omerovic would have "annoyed and harassed some girls in the neighborhood", so the policemen would have gone to his home to make investigations.

According to the agent's account, however, Hasib would have remained calm but as they were leaving, they would have heard the roller shutter of the bedroom window lift from where he would have thrown himself.

A completely different version on which the Prosecutor's Office is investigating, with the investigators who also seized some sheets with blood stains and a broken broomstick.
