The protesters stood up shouting "freedom" and asking the police to back off. And again: "We all have families", "we want the right to work". Among the dockers there is also Stefano Puzzer, leader of the protest.

One of the workers suffered a slight illness during the first excited phases of the eviction and was turned away from the crowd by colleagues. An ambulance arrived shortly after to rescue him.

The policemen, advancing even with small charges, gain meter by meter and force the demonstrators to retreat.

As it advanced, the police blockade passed a group of dockers who had sat on the ground - including Stefano Puzzer - effectively isolating him from the rest of the demonstrators. Also fired some tear gas.

The protest then moved with a long procession in the streets of Trieste, with about two thousand demonstrators who gathered in Piazza Unità d'Italia.

Following the instructions of Puzzer - leader of the protest after having resigned from the position of spokesman for the Coordination of port workers - everyone sat on the ground and remained in complete silence.

"We are peaceful and we must remain peaceful until the end: we have rights to enforce, but not by force as they showed us this morning - he said, speaking to the crowd - There were families, children. They attacked us and I have no words , I never expected it. Tears have also ended up in a school. Let's be quiet. We don't give up ", he concluded.

GENOA - At the San Benigno gate in Genoa in the early morning, a hundred people gathered between port and “No Green pass”. The airport remained operational but some trucks remained in line outside the gate.

After an all in all quiet morning, with the garrison of the "No green pass" and a group of dockers at the port crossing of Ponte Etiopia, the demonstrators decided to permanently block the Albertazzi passage, which leads to both a merchant port and the ferry terminal. , from where until recently people and perishable goods passed. The agents of the Mobile Police Department, who at first were deployed in riot gear, took off their helmets and the tension subsided.
