Giovanna Pedretti, the restaurateur from Sant'Angelo Lodigiano who posted a review on Facebook in which a customer complained about being seated next to gays and disabled people, died of drowning. Last Sunday, the woman was found lifeless in the waters of the Lambro river. Traces of blood were found in and around his car, parked nearby, but the stab wounds found on his wrists, arm, leg and neck were found to be superficial wounds.

This was established by the doctor Giacomo Belli, of the Department of Forensic Medicine of Pavia. The police continue their investigations to try to understand what happened in the last hours of the 59-year-old's life. The main hypothesis remains that of suicide, but it is being ascertained whether the restaurateur was alone and why she brought with her a dull blade with which she could only slightly injure herself if she really had left the house with the intention of killing herself.

From the traces it appears that Pedretti, before being found in the Lambro, went around the car, a Fiat Panda. The toxicological tests carried out today could provide further elements. We also began to analyze the two mobile phones that the restaurateur had with her: both were found to be for personal use and were found in the Panda.

Giovanna Pedretti was heard by the military on Saturday: no charges were made against her. During the investigations on the hypothesis of propaganda and incitement to crime for reasons of racial, ethnic and religious discrimination, she was heard "as a potential victim of the entire affair" in an "interview" that lasted "a few minutes" during which the restaurateur confirmed the content of the review (about the authenticity of which multiple doubts had been raised online) and explained that he was unable to provide further details in order to trace the identity of "the anonymous customer".

Meanwhile, the woman's family, who continues to ask for respect and discretion, has discussed with her lawyer, Simona Callegari, the steps that could follow the opening of a criminal case, even envisaging the possibility of also appointing expert witnesses.

The Prosecutor's Office believes that the body can be returned to the family in a short time so that the funeral planned for the Basilica of Sant'Angelo Lodigiano can be arranged.
