Genoa: Man beats and insults his partner on the street and is arrested.

Genoa police arrested a 29-year-old Tunisian citizen for domestic abuse .

Patrol officers intervened last night to help a 50-year-old woman from out of the region who had been insulted and beaten by her partner.

The couple, on vacation in the Ligurian capital, after arguing inside a B&B, went out into the street, where the Tunisian man began beating and insulting her until she managed to escape inside a bar. During the man's identification, officers discovered that he had previously been reported for violent incidents against his partner, for which he had also been issued a warning by the Pavia Police Chief.

The man, evidently drunk, also tried to attack the officers, for which he was also reported for resisting a public official and fined for drunken disorderly conduct.
