"Call the police, I killed a man!" This was shouted by Filippo Giribaldi, 43, a stevedore at the port of Genoa and a leading figure in Libera Piazza, a no vax and no green pass association, as he entered the Church of the Annunziata, in the center of the Ligurian capital. A few minutes earlier, at the height of an argument, he killed 38-year-old Manuel Di Palo with a pistol.

Jean Pascal Colì, the sacristan, first calms him down, then gives the alarm to the police, who intervene and arrest the 43-year-old.

Meanwhile, in Via Polleri, the 118 medical personnel are trying to revive the 38-year-old, hit by bullets from a 22 caliber. In vain.

The weapon is found not far away under a car parked in Piazza Bandiera and taken over by forensics.

From an initial reconstruction, the murder would have occurred during a dispute, it would seem of an economic nature linked to drug reasons.

The man killed, Manuel Di Palo, was a Casapound militant who in 2020 was sentenced together with two other people to 8 months on probation for an assault with stabbing, which took place in 2018, against an anti-fascist who was posting some posters .

The prosecutor has opened a file to shed full light on what happened.
