An "unrealistic hypothesis, which seems to have been constructed without taking into account the already known facts." The Poggi family's lawyers, Gian Luigi Tizzoni and Francesco Compagna, commented to Corriere della Sera on the new reconstruction of Chiara Poggi's murder, which led the Pavia Prosecutor's Office to change the charges against Andrea Sempio, now considered by magistrates to be the sole culprit in the murder for which Alberto Stasi is currently serving a final 16-year sentence.

"We had requested an extension of the preliminary investigation precisely to avoid the proliferation of unfounded reconstructions regarding the many aspects that have already been thoroughly clarified by experts and consultants, but the Pavia Prosecutor's Office has made other choices," add the lawyers for the Poggi family, who have always been skeptical of this new investigation.

"We will read the documents," they conclude, "to understand the reasons for these choices."
