An investigation is being carried out for murder in the case of a 72-year-old woman found dead at home in Gaggio Montano, in the Bolognese Apennines.

The woman was lying on the ground, apparently having died of an illness. But some injuries to the lower abdomen and legs have alerted the carabinieri and the Bologna prosecutor's office, which has decided to open an investigation for aggravated murder.

It was the woman's son who found her lifeless on the hall floor. Worried that he could not contact her and not finding her in his apartment, he thought about going to a second family home. Where did the tragic discovery.

At that point he called 118 and the carabinieri, who immediately started the investigations. The scientific investigations section also intervened on the spot, in addition to the coroner, who carried out the technical surveys necessary to reconstruct the causes of death.

From a first investigation it seems that in the house there were no signs of forced entry or burglary, but the door was open. The house was also in order, at first glance it seems that nothing was missing.
