Forte dei Marmi: Man flees from police checkpoint on motorcycle, then crashes during pursuit and dies.

Tragedy last night in Versilia , where a motorcyclist died during a chase by the Carabinieri.

The man failed to stop at a police patrol in Forte dei Marmi and fled along the seafront, toward Marina di Massa. According to reports, the Carabinieri patrol then pursued the 48-year-old man, originally from Milan, keeping a certain distance. However, in Marina di Massa, near the roundabout, the man apparently lost control of his motorcycle: instead of properly navigating the roundabout, perhaps due to speed, he crashed into some poles. The impact caused injuries and subsequently cardiac arrest.

The same patrol that was chasing him immediately took action with the first resuscitation maneuvers, then 118 arrived with the medical car and the Red Cross ambulance, but for him, despite the desperate attempt to transfer him to the hospital, there was nothing that could be done.
