Fire devastates building, policeman saves 4 children and their dog
The man saw the high column of smoke and rushed: the four trapped were aged from 2 to 13 years old

An officer of the Agrigento railway police, off duty, saved 4 children and their dog from the fire that broke out inside a house in via Damarete.
The policeman, while he was in his home in the center of Agrigento, smelled a strong burning smell and saw a column of smoke rising from a nearby building. He immediately rushed over and while some citizens were trying to put out the fire with makeshift means, hearing children's screams he entered the building and found 4 children aged between 2 and 13 and a dog .
He picked up the little one and took him out with his little brothers, covering their noses and mouths with wet rags so they wouldn't inhale smoke.
