Father and 4-year-old son fall from the sixth floor

Tragedy on Christmas Eve in Palermo.

A 38-year-old and his 4-year-old child fell from the sixth floor of a building in Via Ausonia, ending up on the roof of a restaurant.

The man, a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, died in hospital. The little son is hospitalized at Vincenzo Cervello in the pediatric department and has undergone a CT scan which did not reveal any serious injuries. Just over a year ago he lost his mother.

Someone would have seen the child leaning dangerously from the balcony, and the father, in an attempt to grab him, would have fallen with him. In addition to the 118 rescuers, the firefighters and the police intervened.
