Explosion in a house in Salento, three injured: two twenty-year-olds and a 58-year-old man with serious burns

Three people were injured last night in an explosion, probably due to a gas leak, inside a house in Porto Cesareo , in the province of Lecce . Their conditions are said to be serious.

Firefighters intervened and put out the fire caused by the explosion and entrusted the three people to the care of medical personnel. The area was made safe.

The injured are three tourists from Gravina di Puglia (Bari): a 58-year-old man, his 23-year-old daughter and her 24-year-old boyfriend. They were burned in the explosion and are hospitalized in serious conditions in the hospitals of Brindisi and Bari.

The gas system in the two-room apartment was seized .
