The Ministry of Health has activated health monitoring for two people who returned from Uganda with fever and who are currently hospitalized at Sacco Hospital in Milan.

Serena Arrighi, mayor of Lurate Caccivio, a small town in the Como area, announced the situation.

Two aid workers, a thirty-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, who landed at dawn at Malpensa on a flight from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, showed symptoms attributable to the disease: both had high fever and vomiting, in addition to nausea, chills, and mental confusion.

The relatives of the two hospitalized patients were subjected to surveillance and monitoring.
