A 17-year-old boy died in a car accident while driving a Fiat Punto without a license and it ended up on a tree. The accident occurred last night in Foggia. The boy - for reasons yet to be ascertained - lost control of the car.
The firefighters, 118 health workers and local police officers intervened on the scene. The latter are investigating and viewing the images from the video surveillance cameras to clarify the dynamics of the accident. They also need to ascertain why the 17-year-old was driving the car without a license.
The news of his death has also shocked teachers and classmates. "He was a sunny, magnificent boy. A life that had no reason to be so tragically interrupted, whatever the cause." So said Raffaele Rossetti, vice-principal and teacher of Computer Science at the Blaise Pascal Technical-Economic and Technological Institute in Foggia, after learning the news of his student's death. "Since this morning, as soon as the news arrived, we are all shocked. It is terrible news," he concluded.
