The super-witness in the investigation into the death of Satnam Singh , the Indian farm worker who disappeared following an accident at work in the Pontine countryside, is under investigation for failure to provide assistance. The woman, an employee of the agricultural company, was heard this morning in the Latina court, before the investigating judge Giuseppe Cario to reconstruct what happened that afternoon of June 17, and is registered in the register of those under investigation for failure to provide assistance.

According to the civil party lawyer Gianni Lauretti, "some details have been told differently, even if the facts are those: there cannot be an opposing version. Today she was heard as a suspect in a related proceeding: we do not know what the crime is, but everything suggests that it is a failure to provide assistance, since she was present on the spot".

The employee was heard in the presence of her lawyer after initially deciding not to be heard by Lovato's lawyers, according to Lauretti, because she " felt pressure from the environment, and for this reason she preferred not to make statements to the defense ." The lawyers of Antonello Lovato, in prison accused of voluntary homicide with eventual intent for having abandoned the worker in front of his house with an amputated arm, maintain that the version offered by the witness during the evidentiary hearing is in contrast with what was declared by the victim's wife.

According to the witness, Satnam did not bleed from his arm, but from his mouth; furthermore, the laborer independently touched the plastic wrapping machine that shortly after detached his limb, while Antonello Lovato told him not to do so. Finally, the witness also added that it was Satnam's wife who asked to be accompanied home with him.
