The family issues a note, vain hopesPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The hope of having found Daniele Potenzoni, the man with autism problems who disappeared in Rome on 10 June 2015 while, with a group from Milan, was going to the Pope's audience with some companions has vanished.
A few days ago a video circulating on the internet portraying a man lying on the ground and a voiceover, in Russian, said something in reference to "Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Terminator". Those images had been reported by a lady and had also come to the attention of the Potenzoni family.
Yesterday, however, the press release: “Daniele Potenzoni is not the man immortalized in a video released on social media and taken up by numerous media in recent days. Despite the great hope that he had aroused in his family, the consultant Dr. Edoardo Genovese and the lawyer avv. Gennaro Gadaleta, after an intense research activity, have ascertained that the protagonist of the video is not Daniele Potenzoni, the 43-year-old who disappeared in Rome before an audience with the Pope on 10 June 2015".
There was indeed a similarity, above all for the particular shape of the nose. But the checks have now dashed all hope.
