The single judge today sentenced eight soldiers, including officers, who over the years have put in place a "systematic misdirection" to hinder investigations and slow down the ascertainment of what happened in the barracks after Cucchi's arrest.

COMMENTS - Moved Ilaria Cucchi, present in the classroom: “I'm in shock, I didn't think this day would ever come. Years and years of our life have been destroyed, but today we are. And the people who were the cause, the perpetrators, were condemned ”.

The lawyer Fabio Anselmo maintains that “it has been confirmed that the black soul of the Cucchi case is General Casarsa. The truth is that everything they wrote about Stefano, who was a drug addict, anorexic, HIV positive is false. It is time for anyone who goes against this sentence and the one pronounced by the Supreme Court on Monday to take responsibility ”.

Solidarity with Cucchi also from the weapon, which dissociates itself from the conduct of its men: “Today's sentence exacerbates the deep pain of the weapon for the loss of a young life. We renew our closeness to family members once again. The sentence, albeit at first instance, ascertains conduct far from the values and principles of the weapon ", underlines the General Command, reiterating the" firm and absolute commitment "to always act" with rigor and transparency ".

On the other hand, no comment from the defense of General Casarsa: "We are waiting to read the reasons".
