The girl found dead last Friday in a former deconsecrated church above La Salle, in the woods of the Aosta Valley, has been identified.

She is a 22-year-old French woman whose relatives had not heard from for days. She was identified by some family members who were interviewed by the police in the Aosta barracks.

The young woman was killed with several stab wounds to her neck and abdomen which caused severe bleeding.

The death could date back to the period between the end of March and the first days of April : it is difficult to indicate the exact date, the relatively low temperatures of those days preserved the body well. The medical examiner Roberto Testi, who carried out the autopsy, delivered a partial preliminary report to the Aosta Prosecutor's Office which is investigating the crime.

A witness saw her with her boyfriend last Tuesday , three days before the crime. ( HERE his words ).
