Moments of fear for Ciriaco De Mita, victim of a domestic accident and hospitalized in Avellino.
The former prime minister and leader of the Christian Democrats, now 94, fell in his home in Nusco (his hometown, of which he is mayor) while going down the stairs, breaking his femur.
After the alarm at 112, an ambulance intervened on the scene and transported him to the hospital.
De Mita was immediately operated on in the orthopedic surgery unit of the "San Giuseppe Moscati" hospital in Avellino.
The doctors treating him are optimistic. Despite the age of the patient, the vital signs are considered sufficiently positive.
