Investigations are also underway in Piedmont on Massimiliano Mulas, the 45-year-old of Sardinian origin arrested last April 10 for raping an eleven-year-old girl on the doorstep of his home in Mestre (Venice).
From what has been learned, there is an episode for which the Cuneo Prosecutor's Office has requested a second precautionary measure against him , granted by the investigating judge, which dates back to a few days before the violence in Veneto. Mulas is said to have committed a similar abuse against a victim of the same age, ten or eleven years old, in Savigliano, in the Cuneo area.
Before his arrest, however, investigators still had no certain evidence to attribute this further attack to him. Last Monday, Mulas was questioned by videoconference from prison, but he availed himself of the right to remain silent.
There is also another case open against him, dating back to the period in which the 45-year-old lived in the province of Cuneo. In this case, the hypothesis is of solicitation of a minor and the Turin Prosecutor's Office is investigating, for district jurisdiction: the incident would have taken place in Cervere last November, when Mulas was identified and reported.
