Rosalia Manosperti and Antonio Mirabile , the parents of little Andrea, who died last July 2 in Sharm el Sheikh for what has been defined as a "food poisoning" could be heard as early as next week but does not convince the prosecutors.

The Palermo Prosecutor's Office investigating the death wants to reconstruct the couple's movements - the places and people they frequented - to understand if it was really food poisoning that killed the child, as the Egyptian doctors claim, or something else. A contact or environmental intoxication for example.

The prosecutors awaited the resignation of the child's father, who left the hospital today, and Andrea's funeral, scheduled for Saturday.

At least two reasons why the thesis of food poisoning does not convince the investigators. First of all, the fact that no one else in the resort where the couple was staying was bad , although certainly Antonio and Andrea weren't the only ones to dine in the hotel 's a la carte restaurant.

And then the symptoms manifested. No one would have had dysentery , a typical manifestation of food poisoning. And the father, after being hospitalized in Palermo following the transfer from Egypt, was diagnosed with kidney failure and a urinary tract infection , but no intestinal problems.

"The patient - say the Palermo doctors - had symptoms of intoxication, but that could be environmental or from contact".
