It was the autopsy that provided precise information on the death of Alessio Cini. The 57-year-old textile technician, originally from Sant'Ippolito di Prato, was found semi-charred two days ago in front of his country house in Agliana, in the Pistoiese area, in the Ferruccia area.

The Pistoia Prosecutor's Office has opened a case for voluntary homicide.

The man, it emerged, was first beaten to death and then, when perhaps he was still breathing and dying, he was set on fire.

On his head and body he had traumas and injuries that pre-dated the fire and which suggest a violent action by one or more people.

The body was partially charred, particularly on the left side, while on the top of the head a lesion had been noticed since the first inspection, probably the result of a blow but difficult to assess due to the damage caused by the fire. Whoever killed Alessio Cini wanted to erase the traces of the crime.

The 57-year-old is described as a decent person and had no criminal record. He carried out a profession in great demand in the Prato textile district. From the investigations, however, a recent concern appears to emerge, linked to the loss of his home, the very apartment in front of which he was found killed on the morning of January 8th. The house ended up at auction after some financial problems that he had evidently not been able to deal with. The asset trail is among those favored at this stage by the investigators.
