They tried to uproot a bank safe with a bulldozer , but they failed to carry out their plan, forced to flee when the branch alarm went off. It happened in Marcianise , in the province of Caserta , where, before dawn, a gang of at least four people attempted to pull off a movie-like heist.

On board a bulldozer, the criminals tried to uproot the armored cabinet with the safety deposit boxes, causing serious damage to the building. Their assault began around 4:00 a.m., after having blocked the access roads to the branch of the " Banca di Credito Popolare " with a truck, used to transport the bulldozer, they practically knocked down the entrance to the institute.

But the alarm sounded and the bandits fled, just moments before the carabinieri arrived. According to the investigations of the Marcianise military, the thieves fled in a second car. The police seized the bulldozer, the truck with the trailer and a medium-sized car, in order to gather useful clues. The investigators are now examining the images from the surveillance cameras to reconstruct what happened.
