A dangerous game played by a group of young people in their early twenties resulted in a serious accident last night in Gardone Riviera, along the Gardesana road in the province of Brescia. Around 2:30 a.m., near the Monte Baldo Hotel, several youths began simulating an attempt to throw themselves under passing cars.

During the "challenge," an Irish man born in 1998 was actually hit by a vehicle. He was immediately rescued and transported by air ambulance to the Spedali Civili hospital in Brescia. His condition is serious, but not life-threatening.

Last April, a similar, crazy "challenge"—already reported in several Italian regions—took place in Sorso, where several 11- and 12-year-old boys lay down on the roadway , moving out of the way at the last minute to wait for cars. None of them were injured, but the incident caused great concern among residents who witnessed the scene.
