The Carabinieri of the ROS have hit with a series of arrests the network of supporters who allegedly facilitated the fugitive status of the boss Marco Raduano - who escaped from the prison of Badu 'e Carros (Nuoro) on 24 February 2023 and was arrested in Corsica on 1 February this year - and who allegedly managed an international drug trafficking ring.

Seven arrested between Vieste (Foggia) and Mestre (Venice). The operation is conducted in execution of a precautionary measure issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Bari at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate.

The charges are of international trafficking and dealing of various types of narcotics, and of aiding and abetting. The investigation revealed the existence of a lucrative supply channel for drugs that were sent via postal packages from Spain to the town in Gargano.
