Clashes in Turin between protesters and law enforcement during the march following the eviction of the Askatasuna social centre .

A group of hooded protesters at the head of the demonstration attempted to break through the police cordon by throwing bottles and other objects . Police responded with water cannons and tear gas. There were also batons being used on one side and batons being used by protesters. At least nine officers were injured.

Over two thousand people attended the procession, which started from Palazzo Nuovo. Many young people and families, residents of the Vanchiglia neighborhood, were present, as were children carrying banners bearing their handprints. Delegations arrived from other cities, including Milan, Genoa, and the Northeast.

“Askatasuna means freedom, no one will stop us” and “Woe to anyone who touches us” were some of the slogans chanted by the protesters.
