An 11-year-old boy who was hit by a hit-and-run car in Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, in the Salerno area, is in critical condition at Santobono Hospital in Naples .
According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri of the Nocera Inferiore Territorial Unit, the child was crossing the street with an adult when he was struck by a gray Golf traveling at high speed. The impact was very violent.
The child, rescued by 118 paramedics, was rushed to Santobono Hospital, where he is hospitalized in serious condition. Officers are searching for the driver of the car, who fled the scene without providing assistance after the collision.
