Another day of blood in the Vicenza area, another woman killed at the hands of a man who, late yesterday evening, was found suicidal in his car, while the police were chasing him.
A single shot in the face, fired from close range, left no way out for Alessandra Zorzin, 21 year old from Montecchio Maggiore married and mother of a two-year-old girl.
The murderer, Marco Turrin, a 38-year-old security guard, then left the house calmly and got back into the car. He was a regular visitor to that house, he carries the gun for work and lives in the Padua area, in Vigodarzene.
The owner of a restaurant caught his eye: “I saw him go away, he walked at a normal pace, as if nothing had happened”.
THE FACTS - It is 11 in the morning when Alessandra opens the door. She is alone, she has not gone to work, the daughter is at the nursery, her husband is at work. A habitual meeting, let the neighbors know, an assiduous male presence in that house.
But something is wrong according to script: the neighbors first hear the screams of an argument, then a thud that they define as "disturbing". The omen prompts the neighbors to ring Alessandra's doorbell in vain. Nobody answers, the phone call to her husband starts, the only one to have the keys to the house. He enters and finds the young woman lying lifeless on the bed.
Alessandra and her husband had lived in Montecchio Maggiore for a year and a half, there is a trace of their family life in the many posts published on social media by the girl.
We still investigate to reconstruct the motive, the hypothesis is that it is of a passionate nature.
THE COMMENTS - "The inhabitants of Valdimolino are shocked. It is a very quiet community and no one can explain this terrible gesture - says the mayor of Montecchio Gianfranco Trapula - once again, unfortunately, against a young woman and a young mother" .
For the President of the Province of Vicenza Francesco Rucco anger and disbelief must now give way to concrete signs. "I invite my fellow mayors to put flags at half mast to reaffirm our firm condemnation against all forms of violence - he proposes - and as a commitment to concretely promote the culture of respect".
